Prof Sheila Cunningham

Abertay University

Sheila Cunningham is Chair of Social Cognition at Abertay University. Her research is concerned with biases associated with social cues, such as stereotypes and self-processing biases. Her works explores the influence of these biases in an educational context.

 Sheila also leads the Self Lab at Abertay.

Dr Lara Wood

Abertay University

Lara Wood is a Senior Lecturer at Abertay University. Her research focuses on social influence, particularly across childhood. This includes research on the acquisition and influence of gender stereotypes, and identifying social learning mechanisms and biases in real-world and cross-cultural contexts. 

Dr Jacqui Hutchison 

University of Aberdeen

Jacqui Hutchison is a lecturer in psychology at the University of Aberdeen. Her research is focused on person perception and how we use social cues to interpret the world around us, with a particular interest in stereotypes. 

Jacqui is also a member of the Person Perception Lab at Aberdeen.

Karen Golden

Karen is a PhD student at Abertay University. Her research examines the relationship between adolescent stereotype attitudes and peer influences on academic subject choices.

Arthur Lange

Arthur is an MbR student at Abertay University, studying the effects of being an minority gender student on a university course that is dominated by one gender.
